Meet Lexi, one of our ‘18-‘19 scholars!
“Hey there! I’m from Washington, NC and am going into my junior year in Agriculture Science. Last semester I was enrolled in one of Dr. McKee’s courses. After reading her syllabus that stated she is a LGBTQ+ ally, I emailed her as a fellow ally to commend her for the policy. After a few emails she introduced me to Oaks with an attached application, now here I am! I plan to use the opportunities and tools Oaks provides me to bring back to my small town to help it grow and learn. I can’t wait to get started!”
